IMPORTANT NOTE:
==============
You only need to restore from ZIP if you wish to recover extra user, diagram or
locale information that is *not* stored in the panel.  If none of this
information is required then DO NOT RESTORE from ZIP, simply perform an upload
from the panel(s) to recover the working state of the front end.

You can restore from a ZIP created with Accept standalone, however care should
be taken to re-define operator accounts and permission sets after information
is "restored" to ensure that any tenancies that were defined in the network
version before the restore from ZIP are correctly applied to the imported
operator/permission information. By default all operators/permission-sets
imported from a standalone version of Accept will assume the "main(1)" tenancy.
Also locale information restored from an Accept-standalone ZIP will only be
available to the "main(1)" tenant.

When restoring Front End from ZIP you may restore "Review Mapping" and "Review
Processes" however be aware that the information from these groups (within
the ZIP) is *merged* with the installed information of this version.  That
means that some customisations may be lost especially where the new review
information has excluded records that existed in a previous version of the
software and subsequent ZIP.

To run AceptNet the Windows OS must have been install by either standard,
compact or portable install types, thus ensuring that dial-up-networking
is installed and therefore Winsock and TCP/IP is supported correctly.

Issues
======
- Please ensure service pack 5 or better is installed under Windows NT4.

- Users are advised to submit reports on any anomalies they encounter with the
  software, to Accept@psdesign.com.au or by FAX to +61 8 9443 9878.  Talk to
  your installer or Security Merchants P/L in your city as required for
  initial support.

- PSD and IR are not responsible for operating system (OS) errors, instability
  or performance issues.  Please refer to your system-administrator, PC
  supplier or Microsoft support for advice about OS or network difficulties or
  configuration.

Setting Up Registry Keys
========================
To correctly run AcptNet from any user profile under W2000
or NT you may need to modify the following LOCAL_MACINE_HIVE
as follows:

1) Run regedt32 (type this is in at Start | Run)
2) Locate the following hive window LOCAL_MACHINE_HIVE
3) Select the SOFTWARE\PSD key (ensure it is highlighted)
4) From Security | Permissions menu.  Add user "Everyone"
   and ensure the "Everyone" user has "Full control" ticked.
5) Repeat step 4 after highlighting "SOFTWARE\PSD\PSD
   FrontEnd Client" and "SOFTWARE\PSD\PSD FrontEnd Server".
   Check permissions are appropriate as above.

Setting up the Concept Panel and its Comms Task
===============================================
1)  Select Commpass or Accept comms task type.
2)  Choose the correct panel UART port to which a PC serial cable is attached
    (you must use a UART board).
3)  Ensure that there are no conflicts on this UART port:  Ensure that PC direct
    or another comms task is not set to use the same UART port.  Ensure that
    only one Commpass/Accept comms task is configured at the panel.
4)  Select a baud rate that matches the value chosen at the Front End.
5)  Set the client code to 0001
6)  Set the "K" option to Y - see note 10.
7)  Enable the comms task.
8)  At the Front End, from within the Comms Setup dialog.  Ensure the correct
    comms port number and baud rate is chosen at the Front End.  If using
    TCP/IP then ensure the correct IP address and port number is specified of
    the UDS10 or other TCP/IP device attached to the panel.  If using a UDS10
    make sure the panel is connected to it via a modem cable.
9)  Set flow control to none.
10) If the K option has been set to yes at any time, it may be necessary to
    recover session keys.  "Admin | Recover session key".
