The installation directory of that server application must have share and read/write access permissions enabled for the user account under which the client software will be run. To run AceptNet the Windows OS must have been install by either standard, compact or portable install types, thus ensuring that dial-up-networking is installed and therefore Winsock and TCP/IP is supported correctly. Issues ====== - Some difficulties may be experienced with font-size errors while printing under NT. Please ensure service pack 3 or better is installed. - Users are advised to submit reports on any anomalies they encounter with the software, to CommPass@psdesign.com.au or Accept@psdesign.com.au or by FAX to +61 8 9443 9878. Talk to your installer or Security Merchants P/L in your city as required for initial support. - PSD and IR are not responsible for operating system (OS) errors, instability or performance issues. Setting up the Server Connection ================================ Once the AcptNet Client application has been started, you may need to configure the IP and TCP settings to establish a connection with the AcptNet Server. Make sure the AcptNet server is running at all times and that no operators are logged in. 1) From the Login Dialog, enter a valid user name and password. The defalt password is 'Accept'. Click on the server button to invoke the TCP/IP connection setup dialog - if connecting to the AcptServer on the *same* machine goto step 3. Enter the host name of the PC on which the server was installed (or alternatively just enter the IP address of that machine). Ensure the port number is 2149. You should not need to change that value and should match the value specified in the preferences dialog of the server application. 2) Click OK to instigate the changes, a connection to the server application will be attempted immediately. 3) The server connection status will be indicated in the operator status square at the bottom right of the main screen. If this reads "NO SERVER" then restart the client application. After restarting the AcptNet Client, if the connection status has not changed then double check all network settings (step 1 and 2), IP addressing, physical connection, TCP/IP binding and adapter configuration contact the network administrator for assistance.
